Financing package with a consortium of six lenders supported by EIFO, Denmark’s export credit agency

Project underpinned by a CfD covering 211MW of capacity and a major Virtual Power Purchase Agreement with Ahold Delhaize

Fourth major financing for Rezolv Energy in Romania for a total of up to €1.55 billion

Bucharest, Romania, 6 November 2026 – Rezolv Energy, an independent renewable energy producer backed by Actis and Mubadala, has signed project financing of up to €367 million for its 292.5MW Dunarea East wind farm in Constanța County, southeastern Romania.

The financing – supported by the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) – is provided by a consortium of six lenders: Société Générale, Erste Group Bank, Raiffeisen Bank International with Raiffeisen Bank S.A., Mizuho Bank Europe, Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich-Wien and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The EBRD’s participation is supported by an InvestEU guarantee.

Project offtake is underpinned by a Contract for Difference (CfD) awarded to Dunarea East in Romania’s second CfD auction in 2025, covering 211MW of the project’s total 292.5MW capacity and by a corporate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with international food retailer Ahold Delhaize providing long-term revenue visibility for a substantial proportion of the project’s output.

This represents the fourth major project financing transaction Rezolv Energy has executed in Romania, following the up to €291 million secured for the first phase of the VIFOR Wind Farm, the additional up to €331 million for VIFOR Phase 2 and the up to €561 million package for Dama Solar. Together, these four transactions represent up to €1.55 billion of senior debt financing for large-scale renewable energy infrastructure in Romania. Several institutions in the Dunarea East lending consortium also participated in these earlier financings, reflecting the strength of the company’s relationships with established international and regional financing partners.

Dunarea East is Rezolv Energy’s second major wind farm development in Romania, following the 461MW VIFOR Wind Farm in Buzău County. VIFOR Phase 1 (192MW) entered commercial operation in October 2026, with the remaining 269MW Phase 2 in construction and scheduled to come online in 2027. Once Dunarea East is operational in early 2029, Rezolv Energy’s installed wind capacity in Romania will exceed 760MW.

Alastair Hammond, CEO, Rezolv Energy, said: “Rezolv Energy’s track record in securing major financing packages like this is central to the contribution we are making to Romania’s energy transition. This financing allows us to move straight into construction at Dunarea East, building on our progress at VIFOR and reinforcing our position in the vanguard of a new era for wind power in Romania.”

Jaroslava Korpanec, Head of Central and Eastern Europe, Infrastructure at Actis, said: “Dunarea East pairs a Contract for Difference with a long-term corporate PPA. We believe lenders value that combination of offtake, and this latest financing package shows that. The consortium of lenders include several institutions that have financed Rezolv Energy before, which we think reflects confidence in the platform and the role it is playing in driving forward Romania’s energy transition.”
